Pave A Bright Tomorrow With Asphalt Pavement

Asphalt is a mix of binders, fillers, aggregates used for creating pavements and maintaining them as well. The content of the aggregates are rocks, sand, and gravel and are bonded together using a binder. Asphalt Pavements in Atlanta are becoming more and more popular because it is easy to use, it has high strength, and it is cost efficient.

Asphalt Pavement
The material asphalt is one of the most eco-friendly and cost-saving materials to enter the industry. It has made construction of pavements and other roads a lot faster and safer for the people to walk and drive on. Asphalt is one of the most reused, recycled, and  most versatile material. There are different types of asphalt pavements that are present today.

Porous Asphalt: This is one of the oldest types of asphalt used in pavements, dating back to the early 1970’s. It is also used a lot in high traffic area because it is able to suck a lot of water when it rains, and it dries up quickly. This is cost-efficient because it has high strength and the shelf life of this can last up to 20 years.[Text Wrapping Break]

Perpetual Pavement: This type of material allows one of the quickest installation of pavements compared to the different types of materials. They use Asphalt and a multi-layer paving design process. This has high strength and is just as long lasting as porous asphalt. Unlike porous Asphalt, this doesn’t have the skill to be water soluble.

Quiet Pavement: Stone-matrix asphalt of open-grade friction mix are the specific types of material that have an effect of lessening the noise of cars driving in the road. Roads that are made with materials other than Asphalt has been known to be more noisy compare to roads that have been paved with Asphalt.

Warm-Mix Asphalt: This is the eco-friendly version of Asphalt because of how it is made. Normal Asphalt is usually made using high heat, but at a certain temperature the heat will allow the Asphalt to release chemicals that may not be idea for the Earth’s atmosphere. With this type, take produce it in mid-high heat to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gases.

Thin Overlays: This is especially designed to help improve the drive for riders in their car or motorbikes. It creates a smoother road, less noise, and is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It is a combination of warm-mix asphalt and other recycled materials. Again it is very cost efficient and the shelf life is also 8 to 10 years, maybe even more.

Asphalt is one of the most important materials a country can have, because it is one of the most used materials in a lot of today’s infrastructure. And its main use is the construction of roads and pavements which is on the biggest construction businesses in the world. Before Asphalt was discover, the quality of the roads were not as luxurious and functional. We have to be very thankful that we were able to find proper uses for this material to ensure the safety of our people.
